I am currently seeking a proactive and professional Legal Secretary to join a highly regarded law firm based in central Sheffield. Working as part of their Court of Protection and Personal Injury team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative and secretarial support to their Fee Earners. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years secretarial experience within legal or professional services, along with being proficient in Microsoft applications such as Teams, Word and Excel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide full secretarial support to include word processing, regular and accurate filing, archiving, faxing, emailing, photocopying.
Confident handling of telephone enquiries, diary and meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense claims.
Use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and legal software including Aderant, Big Hand, Liberate, iManage, and Oyez.
Drafting routine documents and correspondence.
Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and paper-based and in compliance with Lexcel guidance.
To maintain time recording on all client matters and to arrange for the chargeable time recorded to be put into the firm's computerised time recording system daily.
Acting as a first point of contact for clients and third parties with professionalism and discretion.
Supporting colleagues through holiday/sickness cover and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
High level of accuracy, attention to detail
Competent numeric skills including a basic understanding of accounts and billing.
Able to use own initiative and take responsibility for a task to ensure that work is completed to a high standard (to include developing and introducing efficiencies and more effective ways of working).
Highly organised, able to prioritise, anticipate, plan-ahead and problem solve.
Adaptable, willing and capable of working flexibly and as part of a team.
Salary : 25000 - 27000
