Position: Secondary Science Teacher (QTS)School Type: SEMH / SEND provisionLocation: East Ham, NewhamStart Date: September 2025Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (1 hr lunch)Salary: Competitive, DOEDBS: Enhanced DBS required (must be on file)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to KS3 & KS4

• Adapt the UK National Curriculum to meet diverse learners’ needs

• Implement effective inclusion strategies to raise student achievement

• Monitor and report on students’ personal and academic progress

• Support continuous professional development for teaching staff

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

• Minimum 6 months UK teaching experience, ideally in a SEMH/SEND setting

• Strong track record of outstanding classroom practice

• Skilled in differentiating lessons for a wide range of abilities

• Excellent organisational and behaviour-management skills

• Committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
