A “good” Ofsted-rated school in Luton is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from September 2024. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator ready to contribute to the school’s commitment to high-quality education and the promotion of a lifelong interest in science.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-planned Science lessons, ensuring differentiation to cater to all students.
- Implement Assessment for Learning strategies to enhance the educational experience.
- Set challenging tasks that ignite student interest and contribute to raising standards of attainment, behaviour, and achievement.
- Deliver lessons aligned with the agreed classes/courses, focusing on developing every student’s full potential.
- Value and foster the skills, interests, and experiences of students, promoting independence in their learning journey.
- Maintain a stimulating learning environment within the teaching area.
- Develop a broad range of practical, oral, personal, social, and academic skills within the student community.
- Collaborate with other staff and departments to deliver a coherent curriculum.
- Uphold good discipline among students, recognising and rewarding progress.
- Mark, assess, and moderate students’ coursework in accordance with examination board requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A strong academic record in Science.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- In-school teaching experience, gained through Teacher training.
- Knowledge of the Curriculum and SEN Code of Practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
