  • Annual Salary: £30,033 - £31,926

Reed Education are looking for a dedicated and experienced Premises Manager to assist in the effective management, organisation, and supervision of all matters relating to the premises at a vibrant educational establishment. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in premises and facilities management, who is ready to take on a challenging and rewarding position in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Maintain the grounds, including litter control, landscaping, and maintenance of sports pitches and facilities.
  • Manage security measures, including routine and non-routine opening of buildings and grounds, and serve as a keyholder for out-of-hours call-outs.
  • Oversee cleaning and building maintenance, conduct improvements, maintenance tasks, and report any defects.
  • Coordinate lettings, including preparation and supervision of premises for events outside of regular school hours.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring compliance and reporting any breaches or defects.
  • Manage fire precautions, including regular checks of equipment and maintenance of escape routes.
  • Perform general tasks such as transporting mail and goods on site, and arranging furniture as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A Level qualifications or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Training in plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, or heating systems.
  • Familiarity with the operation of heating and ventilating systems.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and security systems and procedures.
  • Supervisory skills and experience.
  • Understanding of appropriate cleaning methods and standards.
  • Experience in a school or educational establishment is desirable.
  • Considerable DIY experience.
