This school is seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join their team in Worthing and play a vital role in maintaining the school's premises and supporting day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the school site is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and basic DIY tasks.
• Oversee security of the premises, including opening/locking up.
• Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
• Support with setting up school events and activities.
• Liaise with contractors and manage site access when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in care-taking or facilities role (school experience preferred).
• Basic knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, and manual handling.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional.
