About the roles:

Duties include site maintenance, basic repairs, health & safety checks, key holding, and ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment for pupils and staff. These schools offer consistent hours, supportive teams, and the chance to make a real impact.

Must-Haves:

• Previous caretaker or site management experience within a school setting.
• A solid understanding of health & safety procedures.
• A proactive, hands-on, and dependable approach.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., fixtures, fittings, furniture).
• Site security - opening and locking up school premises.
• Health & safety checks (e.g., fire alarms, emergency lighting).
• Basic grounds keeping (e.g., litter picking, clearing pathways).
• Supporting deliveries and porterage.
• Ensuring the site remains clean, safe, and in good working order.
• Liaising with contractors and reporting any major issues.
