School Caretaker Needed for Large Secondary School in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire - Full time role - ASAP or Easter start - Temporary to Permanent Position.

Tradewind Secondary are searching for a dependable and experienced School Caretaker to join the site team at a busy and popular secondary school in Borehamwood. With a large premises and over 1000 students, the incoming caretaker can expect to have a diverse range of responsibilities and joing a warm and welcoming team.

As the School Caretaker, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the school premises to a high standard and ensure they are safe and secure. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Opening and closing the school buildings daily
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Carrying out cleaning duties as required
• Preparing rooms and equipment for events and activities
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Managing and supervising external contractors as necessary

To be successful in this role, you must possess a good level of basic maintenance skills and demonstrate previous experience working in a similar caretaker or facilities management role. You must have strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the prescience of mind to work in a school environment.

This is a long-term temporary to permanent position, working within a team of three, based on experience. The successful candidate will be expected to work full time hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed to attend events outside of regular working hours.
