Java/Scala Developer - Perm up to £100k - Investment Banking - Trading Desk Insight

An investment bank is looking to hire a Java/Scala developer to join their insights team to enhance and maintain applications that contribute to proprietary insights of system-supporting Trading desks

As a Java developer, your focus will be to develop solutions and deliver functionalities to ensure the systems meet business needs and comply with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has experience coding in Java/Scala, not expecting an expert but needs to have an understanding of the principles/foundation of Scala.

Salary: £80,00-£100,000

Hybrid Model: X3 per week in the City of London (Tuesday to Thursday)

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience in Java
• Experience with SQL Server and Linux
• Must have a degree in Computer Science
• Must have experience in Financial Services (Ideally Banking)
• A strong passion/ambition to enhance their development skills with Scala
• Confident to communicate with IT and business staff across a range of seniority
