Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer - Vitality : Job Details

About The RoleTeam – SalesforceWorking Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in any of our Vitality Offices (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Full time hours. What this role is all about:The Salesforce Marketing Cloud developer is part of a highly skilled, dedicated, development team supporting and enabling Vitality’s marketing across all business lines. They will ensure that a successful user experience is delivered to marketing users and play a crucial role in the implementation of new developments. The Marketing Cloud developer will work across multiple projects and support continuous improvement roadmap items.Key Actions

• Working closely with the Marketing teams to define and understand business needs, and translating these into Salesforce Marketing Cloud deliverables
• Implement automated solutions utilizing Marketing Cloud Server-Side JavaScript, SQL, and web service integration
• Support the creation of automated journey’s utilising Journey Builder, ensuring Audience Builder configuration is used where appropriate
• Technical Understanding of Salesforce Marketing cloud data extensions, integration capabilities & automation capabilities
• Strong understanding of SFMC architecture & development best practices
• Good experience working with email studio, mobile studio, JB, & Automation studio
• Support the front-end email templates, utilising knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScrpt and AMPScript.
• Produce technical documentation and specifications for all developments, working within Agile development cycles
• Collaborate with IT and other Salesforce teams across the business to deliver high quality software solutions
• Build excellent product knowledge and always remain up to date on business, industry, technical and customer strategies
• Ensure you understand and adhere to our Code of Conduct and where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies and mandatory training requirements

Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:

• Educated to degree level in computing / programming related subject, or relevant experience in an Information Technology role
• Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or working towards this certification
• General knowledge of programming languages and confident with learning new programming languages
• A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work flexibly within tight deadlines with demanding stakeholders. Demonstrating effective time management skills at all times
• High level of attention to detail when creating and testing code for implementation
• Clear and concise written style and good presentation skills. Ability to communicate complicated technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in written form
