Adore Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established and growing business in the construction supply and distribution sector to recruit an ambitious Sales Manager ready to make a real impact.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a high-performing B2B sales professional who wants to take the next step into leadership — starting with hands-on sales and evolving into building and leading an internal sales team.

The Role

This is a pivotal position where you’ll be instrumental in developing a sales function from the ground up. You’ll begin by managing and growing existing customer accounts, reactivating dormant clients, and driving new business — before stepping into team leadership, with full autonomy to shape the team, tools, and culture.

You’ll be working directly with the senior leadership team and have a real voice in strategic decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Phase 1 - Build & Sell:

* Reignite relationships with lapsed customers and grow existing accounts* Handle inbound and outbound B2B sales — calls, emails, quoting, and follow-ups* Help shape sales processes, targets, and CRM usage* Create scripts and set the framework for future sales hires

Phase 2 - Lead & Grow:

* Recruit, train, and manage a small internal sales team* Lead daily performance meetings and track KPIs* Support product launches, promotions, and pricing initiatives* Drive team results in line with monthly targets and business goals

What We’re Looking For

* Proven B2B sales background (ideally in distribution, construction supply or similar)* Experience managing customer accounts and converting quotes* Commercially focused — you understand margins, not just volume* Tech-savvy with CRMs, quoting systems, and Excel* A proactive self-starter with natural leadership skills

Success Will Be Measured By

* Monthly GP performance (individual and team)* Reactivated and retained accounts* Increased average order value* Team growth and contribution to business profitability
