Accounts Assistant – Sales Ledger
- Annual Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum
- Location: Ipswich IP1
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Join a multi-award-winning group operating throughout the UK. We are excited to offer a career opportunity for an Accounts Assistant in our Ipswich office. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in finance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Inputting and coding a range of invoices and credit notes.
- Processing weekly and monthly payment runs and accounting journals.
- Reconciling supplier statements and requesting copies where needed.
- Meeting month-end deadlines.
- Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining customer accounts.
- Liaising with suppliers to solve queries.
- Assisting with financial reporting.
- Managing daily banking and bank reconciliation tasks.
- Identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of Grades A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Accounting experience or qualifications are preferred but not essential.
- Methodical, with acute attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Forward-thinking, flexible, and proactive.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of cloud-based programs is an advantage but not essential.
