Internal Sales and Customer Support
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking an Internal Sales and Customer Support specialist on a full time, permanent basis. You will offer first-class customer service and collaborate across departments to achieve business goals. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in internal sales or customer service within a distribution environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process customer orders and prepare quotes/bills of materials while determining effective pricing
- Handle sales enquiries for all products within the Business range
- Manage enquiries on customer accounts and liaise with the warehouse regarding special delivery orders
- Raise purchase orders and follow up on quotations.
- Manage all aspects of customer relationships and work as part of the team to drive positive sales results
- Achieve and exceed agreed KPIs
- Learn existing processes and strive for continuous improvement
- Ensure all customers are dealt with in a timely and friendly manner
- Undertake ad hoc projects as required, upsell products, and generate leads.
- Handle outbound/inbound calls
- Address and log customer complaints effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working within an Internal Sales/Customer Service team.
- Understanding of the sales process within a distribution environment.
- IT literacy, particularly in MS Office and ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible attitude to working patterns and a natural problem-solving ability.
