Romanian-Speaking Accountant – Harrow

Salary: £40,000 | Contract: Full-time, Permanent | Location: Office-based

We are looking for a Romanian-speaking Accountant with experience in a UK accountancy practice to join our friendly, client-focused team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio, develop your technical skills, and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts up to Trial Balance for finalisation
• Handle client queries related to Accounts and Tax
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships
• Liaise with HMRC on reconciliations and missing payments
• Review and chase client data for completeness
• Prepare and submit VAT Returns
• Support with Self-Assessments, Corporation Tax, Payroll & CIS and assist with Accounts Finalisation (training provided if needed)
• Identify unprofitable clients and assist with contract revisions
• Participate in Client Tax Review Meetings
• Ensure compliance with Money Laundering regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ UK accountancy practice experience as an Accounts Manager
• Fluent in Romanian and English
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK Tax legislation and accounting practices
• Strong attention to detail and client-focused approach
