Job title: Commissioning Team LeadJob location: Oxley, West MidlandsRate: £35.00 per hour UmbrellaHours per week: Minimum 40 hours per weekStart date: ASAPDuration: On-going contractIndustries considered: Rail, Rolling Stock, RAF, REME, Army, Navy, Marine, Avionics, Rolling Stock, Commercial/Industrial Electrics, Defence, Plant EngineeringDisciplines considered: Team Leader, project Coordinator, Planner, Diesel Engine Fitter, Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, Mechanic, Avionic Technician, Aircraft Engineer, Marine Engineer, Maintenance Fitter, and Breakdown EngineerPosition Summary:* Lead all aspects of the team in the maintenance, commissioning, servicing, QPAC requirements and marshalling of traction and rolling stock for the project, to meet customer requirements within the working timetable.* Act as recognised leader of the team whilst ensuring hands-on support and expertise is available to team on shift.* Ensure that work sheets are signed off correctly, coded and that work has been carried out to the required specifications & standards.* In conjunction with management team, lead the team to ensure efficient utilisation of team resource to meet customer requirements.* Responsible for the cost effective usage of tools, equipment, clothing and materials control* Responsible for leading and prioritising the workload of the team in line with project requirements, including:* Depot protection* Reporting and maintaining progress of work* Use of relevant IT systems* Quality including the completion of In-Process and Final Inspections, and adherence with Local Quality System.Person profile:* Minimum of 3 years experience in fleet and /or maintenance within an operations role* In-depth understanding of the Rail Depot and Rail industry operations.* Proven management leadership skills* Good understanding of the business and its customers* Knowledge of Network Rail Rules and Regulations, H & S.A.W.A., C.O.S.H.H., Traincare Safety programme and Local Safety proceduresContact InfoPLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
