Roadfreight Operator - Freightserve : Job Details

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Roadfreight Operator for a busy well-established Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the Sunbury-on-Thames area.

Main Purpose

To provide Road Freight & Road Brokerage services to ALL Customers ensuring the high level of Customer Service and Company Values are maintained at all times as per the job role responsibilities

Job Role Responsibilities

• Customer Liaison – to receive and process customer bookings in a timely fashion. To build relationships with customer and overseas partners. To gain trust and become customer preferred supplier
• Systems / Software Knowledge – to utilise a range of in-house systems to process customer bookings to meet the requirements requested by the customer
• Customs Compliance – to ensure all shipments are in-line and comply with the regulations set out in country of origin and UK customs
• Documentation Management – to ensure for each shipment the correct documentation is raised and received on arrival
• UK Departure / Arrival Process – to ensure all departures / arrivals are monitored keeping the customer updated to meet the schedule provided to the customer.
• Operational Compliance – monitoring carrier performance to ensure all shipments move as agreed to the customer requirement
• Commercial Awareness – to understand and use the current carrier rates to ensure Company achieve a positive margin
• Customer Invoicing – to ensure all invoices raised include all costs incurred and are charged as per the agreed rates

Required Experience:-

• European Roadfreight Import or Export (or both)
