Risk Tech Engineer - Commodities Desk | Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund

Our client, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a Risk Tech Engineer to join their Commodities Desk. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with both the Risk Management and Portfolio Management teams to design and implement cutting-edge technology solutions that drive trading and risk analytics.

• Collaborate with risk and portfolio managers to gather business requirements and translate them into robust technology solutions.
• Partner with technology teams to identify and leverage strategic data, frameworks, and infrastructure.
• Design, develop, test, and support commodity trading tools and systems, including:
  • Pricing and risk analytics
  • Data flow, storage, and distribution
  • Visualization and reporting tools

• Strong proficiency in server-side Python programming
• Solid experience in data analysis using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, etc.
• Background in object-oriented design and distributed systems architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS-based system architecture, including:
  • S3, EC2, EKS, Batch, or Airflow
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices
