Risk and Controls Associate - Morgan McKinley : Job Details

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the operations team at an Investment Bank, where you will support multiple functions and ensure that system controls accurately reflect the current risk and control environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement KRI monitoring and daily/monthly MI across Operations.
• Collaborate with Operations managers to streamline processes, identify control weaknesses, and address procedural gaps.
• Ensure Operations controls are accurately reflected in the system for a true representation of the risk environment.
• Promote risk awareness and assist the Operations team in understanding risk areas.
• Review Incident events and validate Issues and Actions.
• Ensure Operations comply with relevant Policies and Regulations, with regular attestations.
• Conduct risk reviews based on thematic issues, incidents, audits, or emerging concerns.
• Improve nostro/depot reconciliation process for better governance.
• Participate in relevant risk and control Committees/Meetings.
• Maintain a robust CASS control environment.
• Execute key client asset controls, including daily segregation, RP testing, and policy maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Previous experience working in a Banking environment
• Proficient in creating MI reports using Excel and Visio.
• Experienced in the investment sector with an understanding of FCA regulatory requirements; CASS experience is a plus.
• Possessing a strong analytical mindset.
