RETAIL SECURITY OFFICER

Shifts: 8 HOURS BETWEEN 10AM-10PM - ANY 5 DAYS FROM 7 - Open to applications for 40 hrs per week & 20 hrs per week

Pay Rate: £14.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Retail Security Officer to join our well-established client based in Edinburgh City Centre. We are seeking an experienced and professional Security Officer with a natural talent for retail security to join our client in keeping their customers safe.

Day to Day Duties:

Working as a Retail Security Officer for our client your duties will be:

• You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock
• Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike
• Providing assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

Essential Skills:

As a Retail Security Officer, it is essential that you:

• Can deal with any difficult situations that arise in a safe and professional manner
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct and perform other duties as assigned
• Are available to work full time hours 

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Able to assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work pro-actively to minimise risks
• Local knowledge of area advantageous

Training:

• Relevant training provided along with ongoing support throughout
