Job Title: Sales Consultant

Annual Salary:£23,000 (OTE £35,000 - £40,000)

Location: Colchester

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (5 days per week)

Reed In Colchester are supporting our client seeking a dedicated Sales Consultant to join their team in Colchester. This role is ideal for someone with retail experience who is looking to develop their career, even without prior managerial experience. The successful candidate will be the face of their store, delivering exceptional customer service and embodying the company’s core values.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Ensure the store is clean, presentable, and welcoming at all times.
• Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers through excellent customer care and ethical sales methods.
• Achieve performance KPIs and sales targets.
• Provide outstanding customer service, resolving queries efficiently and managing situations to successful conclusions.
• Handle telesales calls and manage stock control effectively amidst in-store customer footfall.
• Adapt to new technology to enhance the customer experience.
• Work flexibly, ensuring stock is replenished and displayed to the required standard.
• Manage daily cash handling routines and adhere to data protection policies.
• Update POS and pricing changes within the store as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year in a retail sales environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a smart and presentable appearance.
• Driven to meet KPIs and sales targets.
• Ability to listen to customer needs and match them to appropriate products.
• Proven track record in active sales.

Desirable:

• Experience working with furniture/mattresses as a product
• Some supervisory experience
