Residential Childcare Worker - Multi Site - Crossreach : Job Details

Due to an increase in demand for our service, we’re growing our team. At CrossReach, everyday moments like playing a game, cooking a meal or walking on the beach help build trust and change young lives. The children in our care have faced real challenges. Your role is to help them feel safe, supported and ready for the future.

You’ll work in one of our small, community-based houses alongside a great team, with children attending our new purpose-built school nearby.

In this role, you’ll:

• Build strong, supportive relationships
• Help children with daily routines and activities
• Support care plans and work closely with Lead Practitioners
• Focus on the why behind behaviours, not just the what

We’re looking for someone with an HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3 (or who is currently working towards them), along with experience in care or education. You’ll also need a full manual driving licence, as outings are part of the fun, and a calm, compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help children thrive.

When you'll be workingYou’ll be based out of Carraig View, but this is a multi-site role. A manual driver’s licence is required, and you’ll work a mix of early, late and weekend shifts on a 3-week rolling rota. There will also be the occasional sleepover, for which you’ll receive an additional £58.50 per night.
