Job Description :

As a Repairs Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing our repairs and maintenance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services across our housing portfolio. You will coordinate repair works, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will liaise with contractors, suppliers, and residents to maintain effective communication and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of repairs and maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Plan and prioritise repair works, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess maintenance needs and monitor work progress.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to procure materials and services required for repair works.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, schedules, and expenditure.
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries and concerns, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the housing or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of repairs and maintenance processes, including plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and property management software.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Valid driving licence and access to transportation for site visits.
