Repairs Planner - The company:
Castlefield Recruitment are looking for a proactive and organised Repairs Planner to join a well-established social housing repairs provider, helping to deliver an excellent repairs and maintenance service to social housing customers. As the key link between residents, operatives, and contractors, you’ll ensure that repairs are scheduled efficiently, completed on time, and meet customer satisfaction.
Repairs Planner - The role:
• Plan and schedule repairs, maintenance, and void works for operatives and subcontractors.
• Liaise with tenants to arrange convenient appointments, keeping them informed throughout the process.
• Monitor progress of jobs, ensuring completion within target times and service level agreements.
• Allocate resources effectively to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.
• Update job information and status accurately using the housing management and scheduling systems.
• Work closely with supervisors, surveyors, and customer service teams to resolve any scheduling conflicts or urgent repair needs.
• Support performance reporting by tracking KPIs such as first-time fix rates, appointment compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage incoming queries from residents and operatives in a timely and professional manner.
Repairs Planner - The person:
• Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, or coordination role – ideally within social housing, facilities management, or construction.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a calm and empathetic approach when dealing with residents.
• Confident IT user, experienced with scheduling or housing management systems (e.g., DRS, Northgate, MRI AccuServ or similar).
• A team player who can also work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality service and continuous improvement.
