About The Role

We have a new opportunity for a talented Rent & Service Charge Officer to join our team in Oldham on a permanent basis, working full time 35 hours per week.Our operating hours are between 8am-6pm Monday - Friday and we currently operate operate a hybrid working style, where you will spend 3 days per week working in the Oldham office and the other 2 days working from home.

Reporting to the Rent & Service Charge Manager, some of your duties will include:

  • Delivering an effective service charge accounting service across Guinness to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing social, shared owner and fair rents in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, liaising with operational teams as required.
  • Delivering accurate and timely service charge estimates and statement of accounts for all service charges, liaising with operational teams as required.
  • Monitoring actual performance of service charges against estimates, analysing variances, and taking corrective action, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of plans and timetables that ensure service is delivered effectively.
  • Exercising internal controls, highlighting errors, and taking action to rectify them where necessary.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results.
  • Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
