Rent & Service Charge Officer - E Personnel Recruitment : Job Details

We are looking to recruit an established Rent & Service Charge Officer for our client, based in Surrey.

For this role you will be an established Rent & Service Charge Officer and the successful candidate will provide a comprehensive and proactive customer focused finance service specifically focused on income (rent and service charges). You will build relationships with teams and individuals across the organisation to support them and improve their financial acumen and achieve improved organisational efficiency.

Key Tasks

• Rent modelling & setting new rents and service charges.
• Prepare and send rent & service charges notification to all residents.
• ensure leasehold management and service charges are applied accurately and within terms of the leases and current legislation.
• Annual statements issued to leaseholders within statutory time limits.
• Responsible for annual external service charge audit
• Set & monitor rent & service charge income budgets.
• Deal with inquiries regarding service charges
• Oversee sinking funds and advise property services.
• Keep up to date with legislation.
• Liaise with Internal and External Auditors
• Support the Assistant Director of Finance
• Calculate final charges for freehold reversions.
• CCAB Qualified-Not essential.
• Experience of service charge accounting
• Able to commute to Leatherhead.
