Relief Support Worker - Crossreach : Job Details

One morning you might be supporting someone to head out for a swim. Later, it could be joining them on a shopping trip, helping with an appointment, or simply being there to listen over a cup of tea.

That is the heart of being a Support Worker with CrossReach. Every day is different, but each one is about walking alongside adults experiencing mental health difficulties, encouraging independence, and supporting them to live life their way.

What your day might look like

• Supporting people to plan and enjoy their day, whether that is cooking, socialising or a favourite hobby.
• Helping with medication, appointments and day-to-day routines.
• Encouraging confidence, choice and community involvement.
• Offering patience, kindness and practical support in equal measure.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
