Role: Registered Care Home ManagerLocation: Rotherham, South YorkshireSalary: up to £55,000 per annum (DOE)We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking, growing care provider to recruit a Registered Care Home Manager for their purpose-built, specialist service in Rotherham.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Home Manager – or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up – to lead a dedicated team and shape the future of a modern, state-of-the-art service.About the ServiceThe home provides specialist support for adults with profound learning disabilities and/or autism, often with complex health needs. It offers both residential and step-down care, including a smaller supported living-style setting for individuals who require a lower-stimulus environment or want to develop independent living skills.The team includes Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Life Skills Facilitators, all trained in Positive Behaviour Support, functional analysis of behaviour, active support, Makaton and autism-specific approaches. The aim is to create a truly person-centred, empowering environment where residents can thrive.The RoleAs Home Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the service – leading by example, inspiring your team, and ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance. You will have the autonomy to shape your service, supported by robust systems and strong central resources.Key responsibilities include:
- Driving quality improvement initiatives
- Leading, motivating and developing your team
- Managing recruitment, retention and staff training
- Overseeing referrals, occupancy and care pathways
- Building strong relationships with commissioners and professionals
- Managing budgets and ensuring financial sustainability
About YouWe’re looking for someone with:
- A valid NMC PIN and first-level nursing registration
- At least 3 years’ management experience in a care home or complex care setting (or strong Deputy looking for the next step)
- A thorough understanding of governance frameworks, nursing care best practice and sector legislation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong business acumen, including financial and digital skills
