Are you an experienced leader in residential childcare looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a Short Breaks home for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Wolverhampton.
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the service, ensuring the highest quality of care and support is delivered. You’ll play a key role in shaping a nurturing environment where children can thrive, develop, and feel safe during their short breaks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of residential support staff to deliver outstanding care.
- Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulations and achieves the highest possible standards.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with children, families, local authorities, and external professionals.
- Oversee care planning, risk management, and safeguarding procedures.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in residential childcare, with a proven track record at a management or deputy level.
- Qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
- Knowledgeable in Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and EBD best practice.
- An empathetic, resilient leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.
