Job Description :

This highly motivated, fun loving and fast paced company are looking for a Regional Business Development Manager, UK & Europe.

They are based in the UK and are searching for an experienced business development manager with a background in the Life Sciences sector.

Developing new sales opportunities and deliver prospective clients for product development and regulatory strategy services.

Establishing strong connections with new customers, with a deep understanding to help define new client requirements, and builds long-lasting, customer-focused relationships.

Targeting new accounts, owning and exceeding annual sales targets within your assigned territory. Experience and competence in selling consulting services or solutions to the Life Sciences industry is necessary.

Do you have a good working knowledge of the therapeutic product development process from early development to market approval? An understanding of the context of how regulatory strategy informs development.

Strategically minded to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base

Build C-level relationships within new client accounts as you will be the primary point of contact between key clients and internal teams.

Understanding of the key needs, challenges, and requirements of prospective clients, and prepare customised proposals, with the support of your team.

Work closely with internal stakeholders on planning and performance reporting

Maintain records and up-to-date client information on all prospects, target accounts, and new clients through the CRM tool.

Manage existing business within your region and be a strong advocate within the existing client base.

Develop the highest standards of client relations and engagement.

Reaching objectives/targets, reporting, goals and forecasts.

Negotiate contracts with new clients and ensure all regulations/deadlines can be met.

Identify industry-specific landscapes and trends, and use this intelligence to build differentiation into marketing/proposal collateral.

Liaising with internal teams about new business/projects

Plan, implement and manage agreed sales, programs/initiatives/events and conferences for within UK & Europe region.

Flexible hours to accommodate cross-functional meetings and calls.

• Approximately 50% of time to be spent in the UK and Europe for conferences and client visits

5 years’ experience working in or selling to the Life Sciences industry, preferably in either Pharma/Biotech or Consulting/CRO/CDMO sectors.

Degree in a relevant field of Life Sciences or Engineering, with an additional business/marketing qualification considered advantageous.

Proficient in building strategic relationships, particularly at senior level, and be comfortable discussing technical, regulatory, industry and business topics.

Proficiency in identifying, managing, and closing new business opportunities. Lead generation, contract agreement, and resolution of key customer challenges.

Looking after multiple accounts, without compromising on the quality of services.

Proven capability to understand client needs and build practical solutions to address them, effective management of client scoping meetings.

Self-motivated and highly flexible individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Managing budgets and timelines.

MS Office, SharePoint, and CRM systems knowledge. Organising meetings and travel.
