Job Title - Social Worker - Assessment Team

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Councils are seeking a motivated individual to join their Assessment Team as a Social Worker

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to determine their needs and risks
  • Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the unique circumstances of each service user
  • Providing support and intervention to address safeguarding concerns and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and external agencies, to ensure holistic support for service users
  • Advocating for service user's rights and interests in various settings, including court proceedings and meetings with stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements
  • Participating in regular supervision, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance practice skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and interventions with individuals and families within a social care setting
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, colleagues, and external partners
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks effectively and managing competing demands
  • Commitment to upholding professional standards of ethics, confidentiality, and equality
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and contribute positively to team dynamics
