Pertemps Telford are on the lookout for a Recruitment Consultant to join their high performing team. It will be the focus of the successful applicant to develop strong relationships with candidates and clients specifically looking to explore temporary and temporary to permanent work opportunities.Whilst we are open to applications from various experience levels, the ideal candidate will have previous exposure to business development, sales or recruitment and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced target driven environment. If this sounds like you why not apply today to be part of the continued success of the UK’s largest independent recruitment agency.The role:You will be working with our Telford branch focussing on sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates to assess key competencies that meet our clients’ specifications. It will also be your responsibility to develop exceptional relationships with clients to bring on new business. You will be enrolled onto our renowned 16-week training programme where you will learn the foundation and advanced skills/knowledge needed to become a successful recruitment consultant. The role will involve:
  • Attending clients’ meetings, acting as a Pertemps brand ambassador, and providing a consultative approach.
  • Sourcing and screening candidates for a variety of vacancies.
  • Understanding candidates career aspirations and building relationships.
  • Advertising roles and pro-actively searching for candidates via job boards and social media channels.
  • Carrying out competency-based virtual interviews.
  • Bringing on new clients whilst nurturing and maintaining existing client relationships.
Requirements:To be a successful Recruitment Consultant you will have the following skills and experience:
  • You'll need loads of energy, the ability to think on your feet and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Capable of holding business conversations with clients to understand their business/staffing needs.
  • Skilled at understanding the career aspirations of candidates to advise them of suitable roles.
  • Confident in offering innovative recruitment solutions to your clients.
  • Able to demonstrate strong business acumen to maximise on opportunities.
  • Can demonstrate networking skills as well as developing knowledge of the market in which they operate.
  • You'll be willing to learn and keen to develop knowledge of the local recruitment market.
  • Ideally you will have experience in business development, sales or previous recruitment experience.
