Description
Ths role sits in a team of 10, managed and reporting to the Recoveries Manager. The team is responsible for managing all customer arrears >90 days, asset recovery and re-marketing, insolvency, litigation and fraud.
This role is directly working on accounts >90 days to engage with customers for arrears resolution or preparing the accounts for termination and escalation in the recoveries team.
You will need to work closely with internal sales teams, external brokers and vendors to keep them aware of the arrears situation and utilise their relationships with the customer to assist in the arrear's collections process.
The role is fast paced and will require a focused, methodical and organised individual.
Profile
Skills, Competencies & Personal Qualities:
- Minimum of 2/3 years' experience in a role managing debt >90 days overdue.
- Ideally someone that has experience in arrears collections processes in an Asset Finance or Motor Finance based role.
- Financial savvy individual, ability to understand a customers loss position and how this may affect BPCE's actions.
- Knowledge of HP and Lease contracts ideal, but not essential.
- Consumer credit lending knowledge ideal, but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiator and decision maker.
- Ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills especially excel
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- A good understanding of the rules around managing customers with vulnerabilities.
- A good tam player with a positive attitude and someone that will contribute to team discussions to drive improvements.
- A person with an investigative nature, being able to build a picture of your customer using internal and external sources and utilising the internet.
