I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a busy, professional office that’s looking for an experienced Receptionist to join their established administration team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a front-of-house role, enjoys being the face of a business, and can manage a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will be polished, personable, and proactive, with prior reception or front-of-house experience. This role involves much more than answering phones – it’s central to the smooth running of the office and client experience.You’ll need to be someone who can manage their time effectively, is highly organised, and has a great eye for detail. While you’ll be part of the admin team, the role requires a strong degree of independence and initiative.Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the first point of contact – welcoming clients and visitors in a professional manner
- Answering calls and managing front door access
- Redirecting calls and messages appropriately to advisers and internal staff
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Preparing and maintaining meeting rooms – including diary management, IT setup, refreshments, and supplies
- Ensuring reception and communal areas remain clean, tidy, and well-stocked
- Ordering office supplies and managing stock levels
- Assisting with booking annual review meetings and setting up internal team meetings
- Maintaining up-to-date client packs and marketing/compliance materials
- Supporting facilities management and other general administrative duties
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed for all office visitors
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
- Able to adapt to new procedures and prioritise a varied workload
