Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Location: Dundee

Remuneration: £12.21 - £12.50 per hour (Increases after training)

Contract Details: Temp to Perm

Responsibilities:

  • Be the friendly face of our healthcare practise by providing professional reception duties to all visitors.
  • Master our IT system, Vision: check patients in and out, book appointments, and address queries with confidence.
  • Handle mail, process prescription requests swiftly, and ensure all patient information is accurately documented.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR regulations at all times-your integrity matters!
  • prioritise your workload independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and admin staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
  • Support high standards of record-keeping and contribute to clinical governance.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of Medical Terminology-essential for effective communication.
  • Familiarity with Vision is a plus, but full training will be provided.
  • Experience with Docman is desirable but not essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail-accuracy is key!
  • Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR-protecting patient information is paramount.
  • IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word) and general office tech.
  • Effective time management skills-prioritise your tasks like a pro!
  • Initiative and independence-comfortable working autonomously while knowing when to ask for help.
  • Clear, professional communication skills-both written and verbal-are crucial.

Working Pattern: Full Time (Working on Fridays 10 AM - 6 PM is a must) - Part time hours are also available - this would most likely be Monday to Friday 2pm - 6pm.
