Receptionist

We are currently looking for a professional and experienced Receptionist to provide front office support for our client’s office in London SE1. This role requires a confident individual who can offer a warm welcome to guests and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a public sector setting and be adept at interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including local residents.
Day to Day of the role:
- Greeting and welcoming guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Directing visitors to the appropriate person and office.
- Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls.
- Ensuring the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
- Providing basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
- Receiving, sorting, and distributing daily mail/deliveries.
- Performing other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers).
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Customer service attitude.
