The Reception Supervisor Key Responsibilities will include:
- To supervise the front desk by keeping a high profile of appearance at the desk, ensuring that receptionists are well informed about the days’ business, selling codes, VIP’s, group arrivals and any other promotions.
- To ensure that a friendly and efficient service is given by reception at all times.
- Ensure hotel policy, as it relates to front office, is strictly observed at check-in, during guest stay and departure.
- Promote hotel outlets to guests to maximise sales.
- To check the room availability by room type and to make appropriate adjustments in order to avoid overbooking, keeping control of the rooms at all times.
The Experience & Qualifications for Reception Supervisor:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
- Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
The successful candidate will be:
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments
- Team worker
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
