Fund Accountant - Real Estate Investment Management

Location: Central London | Hybrid (4 days in-office)

A leading real estate investment and development business is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join its finance team. With a track record of success in industrial and commercial property across the UK and Europe, the company manages a growing portfolio of development and asset management mandates in partnership with institutional and third-party investors.

About the Role

The Fund Accountant will play a key role in supporting both the development and asset management functions by delivering end-to-end financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation, and property-related accounting. This is a wide-ranging role suited to someone who enjoys variety and values working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of management accounts, lender and covenant reporting.
  • Annual financial statements using accounts preparation software.
  • Submission of VAT and CIS returns; support new registrations as needed.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balances and maintenance of balance sheet integrity.
  • Oversight of property accounting, including:
  • Posting of journals from property managers
  • Tenancy schedule and rent deposit maintenance
  • Service charge reconciliations
  • Invoice processing and supplier payments

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Part qualified, Finalist or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of FRS102 and statutory reporting.
  • Solid experience in property accounting, including service charges and investment property.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Excel
