Job Description :

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join a growing global real estate investment, management, and development firm based in London. The firm boasts a stable track record of high returns and is seeking an Accountant to bridge finance and operations within the UK. Reporting to a Finance Manager, the role is ideal for a recently or newly qualified accountant with a strong background in financial and management accounting, and preferably with 1-2 years of experience in the real estate sector.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct timely month-end closing and inter-company reconciliation.
  • Review accounts from outsourced service providers.
  • Business partner with asset managers.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting, bank reconciliation, and quarterly audit schedules.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of a full set of financial statements for audit.
  • Handle tax matters, including VAT and corporate/income tax.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting; maintain internal control and compliance.
  • Serve as a key driver for the implementation of Group policies, processes, and systems.
  • Perform credit reviews for potential tenants and suppliers.
  • Provide financial project management support for asset management initiatives and development projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recently or Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Good knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS.
  • Ideally 1-2 years of real estate experience in the sector.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Experience liaising with various parties such as HQ Finance Team, local Asset Management Team, external consultants, auditors, and external property managers/operators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving approach, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Responsible, well-organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
