Job Location : Wellingborough, UK
What's in it for you
At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:
About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable Range Assistant to join our busy Head Office team in Wellingborough. You’ll support the Range and Merchandising team in shaping the layout and product range of our branches across the UK.
You don’t need previous experience as a Range Assistant — we’ll teach you how our range and merchandising processes work. However, some background in administration would be advantageous, and a basic understanding of retail (such as how a planogram works) would be helpful.
You’ll be working closely with colleagues across different teams, so being able to tailor your communication style and build effective working relationships is key. We’re also looking for someone who stays motivated during quieter periods and takes initiative to pick up tasks without being prompted. If you’re naturally curious, self-driven, and enjoy making a difference behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you.
You will be responsible for
Providing accurate and timely administrative support
Ensuring data accuracy across product codes and modules
Liaising with internal teams and external contacts
Building strong working relationships across departments
Supporting the wider team with day-to-day tasks
Delivering excellent customer service
You will need
Great communication skills and the ability to work well with different people
A good eye for detail and a proactive mindset
Confidence managing your own workload and staying organised
Basic to intermediate Excel skills — if you’re not quite there yet, there’s informal support to help you build confidence with things like formulas and VLOOKUPs
A willingness to learn new systems like SAP and get stuck into new processes
Self-motivation to take initiative, especially when things are a bit quieter
Some understanding of retail (e.g. planograms) is useful
Previous admin experience is required
