R&D Tax Manager
Location: Bristol - Hybrid
Salary Benchmark: £55,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of R&D tax relief and credit claims for a wide range of innovative businesses.
- Work closely with clients to identify eligible projects and gather the necessary technical and financial information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare detailed R&D reports for HMRC submissions.
- Support wider tax teams in identifying R&D opportunities across their client bases.
- Promote the firm’s R&D service offering internally and externally through networking and business development activities.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior team members and wider tax colleagues.
- Assist in the development of systems and processes to enhance efficiency in R&D claim delivery.
- Contribute to other tax advisory projects and corporate tax compliance services, where applicable.
Requirements
- ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven track record of delivering R&D Tax Relief claims (both SME and RDEC regimes).
- Experience in a full-service accountancy firm or regulated specialist R&D practice.
- Confident communicator, able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple client assignments and deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring or managing a team.
- A commercial mindset and interest in helping grow the firm’s market presence.
- Additional experience in wider corporate tax or advisory services is advantageous.
