Blue Diamond Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established, national house builder who are growing their Commercial team with a proven Quantity Surveyor.

Recognised as an award-winning, top ten house builder, this opportunity suits an ambitious Quantity Surveyor joining a thriving team on the outskirts of Birmingham, working on projects across the West Midlands.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role within the Commercial Team, supporting the financial delivery for a range of housing developments. You will ensure all surveying activities are carried out in line with company procedures, with a clear focus on accuracy, cost control, and value engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project budgets and forecasting material costs

• Procuring subcontractor packages and managing associated costs and documentation

• Preparing and presenting detailed cost reports to management

• Monitoring ongoing site costs, valuations, and variations

• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations

• Collaborating closely with site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments to maintain clear and efficient communication

This Quantity Surveyor role is suited to a commercially astute, detail-oriented, and confident professional who will be managing multiple developments at various stages. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with a collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Package on offer:

• Competitive salary up to £55,000 basic salary
