Quantity Surveyor - Main ContractorCompany Overview:Our company, a leading main contractor based in Stockport, is renowned for delivering high-quality projects across a diverse range of sectors including industrial, warehouses, commercial, office spaces, rail, retail, and education. With a collaborative team environment and a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.Position Overview:We are looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running and thrive in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work on fit out, refurb and minor new build projects ranging from £100K to £10 million in value, covering various sectors across the Northwest with occasional sites in the South. The role will be predominantly office-based with regular site visits as required.Responsibilities:Manage the commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring profitability and cost control.Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects of varying scales and sectors.Monitor project progress, valuations, and variations, ensuring contractual compliance.Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.Collaborate with the project team to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.Provide timely and accurate reporting on project financials to senior management.Requirements:Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.Full UK driving license.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience (DOE).Car allowance.Other benefits.Career development opportunities within a growing company.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
