Service Quality Officer (Children's Residential Care - ideal for Registered/Deputy Managers)

Hybrid with travel across Greater London, Kent, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire & surrounding areas

Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in children's residential care looking for your next step?This is an exciting opportunity to move into a quality-focused leadership role, where you'll work across multiple homes, support staff teams, and help raise standards to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

About the Role

As a Service Quality Officer, you'll provide oversight, guidance and support across our children's homes and local authority placements. You'll ensure care plans and safeguarding standards are consistently met, helping teams to deliver the very best outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve quality across children's residential services.
  • Support, coach and supervise staff through regular visits and spot checks.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements, safeguarding policies, and risk assessments.
  • Lead on safeguarding matters, escalating concerns where needed.
  • Deliver staff training and professional development.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities and other professionals.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's home.
  • Qualified to Level 5 Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and safeguarding practices.
  • Confident in leading and supporting staff teams.
  • Passionate about delivering safe, high-quality care for children and young people.
