Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: BuckinghamshireSalary £45,000 - £55,000 per annumRole Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and drive quality assurance initiatives within a dynamic, high-mix manufacturing and distribution environment. This role requires a strong background in inspection processes and offers an opportunity to lead a small team of quality inspectors. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to continuous improvement, a solid understanding of quality standards, and the leadership skills to foster a high-performing inspection team.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and improve daily incoming and outgoing product inspection processes.
• Lead and mentor a small team of quality inspectors, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for quality issues, both internal and supplier related.
• Implement and maintain quality documentation, including inspection criteria, control plans, and work instructions.
• Collaborate closely with purchasing, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years in a quality engineering role, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong experience with visual and dimensional inspection methods, tools, and techniques.
• Proven ability to lead small teams effectively, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, TS16949
• Experience with PPAP, FMEA, FAIR, and SPC.
