Job Role: Quality Engineer Location: NorthamptonSalary: £30,000-£35,000 DOE Hours: 8:00-16:00 Monday to Friday Job Type: Full time, Permanent Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays The client: Interaction Recruitment have partnered with a well-established, global manufacturer of PVC windows based in Northampton that produces, processes and distributes flat glass for the Building and Automotive industries. The Benefits: · Salary between £30,000-£35,000 dependent on experience · 28 Days Holiday including bank holidays · 5% Pension · Medical Insurance · Life Insurance · Company uniform · Ongoing commitment to training and progression · Annual Performance Bonus scheme · Pay reviews · Company Pool Car to use when travelling to customer sites, with expenses paid for where required The Role: · Ensure that any quality issues are discussed with the client, investigated and then rectified in a timely manner · Gather quantitative and qualitative feedback from clients on the quality of products supplied · Carry out 8D reports to carry out problem solving analysis to improve the quality of products supplied to clients · Travel to client premises nationwide as the face of the company to ensure that all customer requirements are met efficiently · Carry out quality audits in accordance to the ISO9001 certification guidelines, ensuring that all audits are carried out thoroughly and efficiently · Manage relationships with both existing and prospective clients, liaising with them to offer a high level of service · Create, manage and enforce health and safety policies and procedures for the company The Requirements: · Minimum 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer within the Automotive industry (essential) · Previous experience in customer facing roles, with great customer service skills (essential) · Knowledge of 8D reporting (essential) · Previous experience liaising with a variety of different stakeholders (essential) · Knowledge of ISO9001 (advantageous) · Previous experience working within the window/glass industries (advantageous) · Relevant qualifications within quality and/or engineering (advantageous) · Full UK Driving License Required.
