Quality Engineer - Biggin Hill - KentIndustry: Aircraft Interiors | Aerospace | Aviation EngineeringAn established and growing interiors organisation, located at Biggin Hill Airport, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its dedicated team. Specialising in the design, certification, manufacture, and installation of both commercial and VVIP aircraft interiors, the company operates under EASA and CAA approvals (Part 145 and Part 21 Subpart G).This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality professional to contribute to the continued growth and excellence of a forward-thinking aviation business.Key ResponsibilitiesRelease of products using CAA/EASA Form 1Development and maintenance of Quality System policies and proceduresManagement and continual improvement of the MOE, POE, and QMSConducting internal audits and managing the audit programHosting customer inspections and liaising with regulatory authoritiesImplementation of quality and safety systems in accordance with EASA regulationsRisk assessments, including Health & Safety complianceLeading root cause analysis and corrective action activities (8D, IORs, MORs)Acting as focal point for quality and Health & Safety matters onsiteSupplier and service provider audits to ensure complianceKPI/SPI tracking and reportingCalibration and tooling controlSupporting investigations and preparing compliance reportsCandidate RequirementsQualifications & Knowledge:Minimum of 3 years' quality experience within aircraft interiors or a similar environmentCQI certificate or diploma in Quality AssuranceDegree in Aerospace Engineering preferredCompletion of a recognised Quality Auditing Course (e.g. EN/AS 9100 Lead Auditor)Strong understanding of EASA Part 145, Part 21 Subpart G, and Civil Aviation regulationsExperience:Hands-on experience in aircraft component repair and/or component manufacturingPrevious involvement in Quality Control/Assurance within an approved maintenance or manufacturing organisationProven ability to manage audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reportingPractical experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)Ideally from an interior component manufacturing backgroundSkills & Attributes:Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentConfident, professional, and proactive approach.For more information and to register your interest please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
