Qualified Social Worker – Locality Team?? Location: West Yorkshire?? Pay Rate: £35 per hour?? Contract Type: AgencyAre you a passionate, experienced Social Worker looking for a new challenge in a supportive and fast-paced environment? Join a dedicated Safeguarding Team in West Yorkshire, where your skills will directly impact children and families at critical moments in their lives.?? Key Responsibilities:?? Duty Week (Every 4 Weeks):
  • Cover all referrals and assessments for the locality.
  • Complete Section 47 enquiries, urgent visits, and Child & Family Assessments.
?? Ongoing Casework:
  • Manage Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), PLO, and court proceedings.
  • Must have experience with CIN and CP cases.
  • PLO/court experience is desirable—training and support are available.
?? CIC to CP Transition:
  • Candidates with Children in Care (CIC) experience are welcome, provided they are open to transitioning into Child Protection work and understand the required shift in practice.
????? Working Arrangements:
  • One duty day per week during non-duty weeks.
  • Office-based during full duty weeks (every 4 weeks).
  • Flexible working supported – remote working is encouraged as long as performance and quality remain high.
? What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience.
  • Background in CIN, CP, or court work.
  • Strong understanding of Child Protection legislation and direct experience with vulnerable children and families.
  • Effective at multi-agency working, assessment writing, planning, and direct work with children.
  • Positive, flexible, and forward-thinking.
  • Eager to deliver the best outcomes for children and families.
