What You'll Be Doing: Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of SME clients, primarily Limited Companies and Sole Traders. Your duties will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts and overseeing the process by managing and reviewing work from our outsourced bookkeeping team.
  • Conducting year-end client meetings and ensuring thorough follow-up.
  • Assisting the Senior Auditor with audit fieldwork, including transactional work on client sites and other ad-hoc tasks.
  • Supporting with tax season demands, including compliance work, handling tax queries, P11Ds, and completing Personal Tax Returns.
  • Providing cover for other team members during busy periods.

Who We're Looking For: Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in an accountancy practice.
  • You should be a part or fully completed accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and review financial and management accounts.
  • Some basic audit and tax experience, with the ability to assist in these areas.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for client and team interactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to your work.
  • Familiarity with various accounting software packages ideally Caseware, IRIS and Xero.
