QS - manufacturing - 1st Executive Ltd : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in manufacturing or industrial projects to join our clients team in Suffolk. This role will play a key part in managing costs, contracts, and commercial performance across manufacturing and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.

You will be based onsite in 3 days per week, working closely with the head of manufacturing, commercial and engineerinf stakeholders, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

• Oversee commercial and cost management aspects of manufacturing and CAPEX projects

• Prepare, monitor, and control budgets, forecasts, and cash flow

• Manage tendering, procurement, and subcontractor agreements

• Administer contracts ensuring compliance and managing variations

• Conduct valuations

• Support with cost advice and risk management

• Prepare and present commercial reports to senior management

• Handle claims, change management, and dispute resolution as required

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within manufacturing, industrial, or engineering projects

• Excellent cost management, analytical, and negotiation skills

• Ideally experience in procurement, contract administration, and supplier management

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Professional membership (RICS or similar) desirable
