QA Test Analyst

6 months contract –Competitive market rates   – Inside IR35 - London – Hybrid working

The Role:

A global trading organisation is looking a QA Test Analyst to join their QA team to become accountable for providing a platform in order to centralise testing assurance, leadership and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate business and operational needs and assess both functional and technical specifications thoroughly.
• Conduct assigned tasks across various projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including test scripts and results, within designated testing platforms.
• Adhere strictly to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures throughout all testing phases.
• Record, track, and reevaluate identified defects systematically, ensuring they are resolved effectively.
• Provide regular progress updates and promptly address any issues pertaining to testing activities.
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during testing or in Production environments, offering viable solutions or workarounds.
• Collaborate seamlessly with team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
• Apply expertise in software testing methodologies to ensure thorough testing of software products.

Key experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience as a functional tester, ideally within the financial sector.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in testing tools and experience with integration testing is required.
• Exposure to automated testing methods is highly preferred.
