Purchasing Specialist (Hybrid) - Harvey Beric Associates : Job Details

Our client is a prominent manufacturer based on the outskirts of Derby. They have an excellent reputation for leading edge technology and for providing great working conditions for their staff.

They presently have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Specialist to join their Purchasing Department. This is a varied and interesting role which will afford the opportunity to work at all levels and to make a real difference in terms of cost management and adding value to the business.

General duties will entail:

• Contract and price negotiation
• Supplier performance monitoring
• Strategy development
• KPI creation
• Supplier resourcing
• Identify and evaluate areas for quality, delivery and cost improvement

This role will suit someone who is versatile and willing to accept challenges. You should also have practical experience of carrying out a similar role in a manaufacturing environement. Additionally, contract and supplier management experience and the ability to communicate at all levels is also required.
